What did you have in mind when creating your T-1 T-shirt design?

I was inspired by the iconography and universal appeal of football. There was a 'no football allowed' sign that used to be displayed below the row of flats I used to kick about with my mates when I was very young. The authorities could not stop us from playing our favorite game everyday. I used the icon of a man playing football and repeated it into a pattern.Football is a universal and democratic sport, anyone can play it regardless of race, wealth, age or social status. I wanted to show the collective spirit of the game in a simple but interesting way.
What sort of places or situations will best fit your t-shirt design, do you think?

Has your final T-shirt design turned out the same as you initially imagined it would?
We experimented with various ways of designing the print and came out of having the front and back print in complete reverse... as if the front and back are opposing teams playing against each other.
When you were designing your T-1 T-shirt, how did the process compare with your normal work?
I love both design and football but I never got to chance to do both together, finally there was a chance to combine both in a t-shirt design.
